As part of a major investment program in state of the art systems and infrastructure, Hachette UK, the UK’s largest publishing group, has selected Biblio3 to run its group-wide publishing operations.
The group requires a centralized publishing system across all companies and divisions. The Biblio3 Publishing System will be configured to meet the group’s needs for pre-acquisition costing, cost management, scheduling, purchase ordering, contracts and rights management, editorial, bibliographic and marketing data management, comprehensive reporting, ONIX feeds and interfacing to finance and warehouse systems.
Chris Emerson, Chief Operating Officer of Hachette UK said:
“We are delighted to be implementing Biblio3, which provides what we want: a state of the art publishing system that is rich in functionality, intuitive and scalable, underpinning our publishing program in all its formats, today and in the future.
Virtusales have tremendous experience within the publishing industry: they understand the complex needs and challenges facing modern publishing businesses and we look forward to working with them to ensure that we have the very best publishing operations systems supporting all Hachette UK publishers.”
Over the past ten years Virtusales has established itself as a leading supplier of integrated modular publishing solutions. The flexibility provided by its modular structure and configuration options are well suited to the complex publishing operations of today and the future.
Phil Turner, Managing Director of Virtusales said:
“Virtusales is delighted to have been chosen to implement Biblio3 across the Hachette UK group of companies. This is a very high profile and prestigious project to the UK’s largest trade publisher and is recognition of Biblio3’s growing status within the industry.”
