IBS Bookmaster’s roadmap press release highlights include;
- New functionality for handling order for digital and physical products on the same invoice
- New rights and royalties module (also available as a standalone application)
- ONIX 3.0 support
“IBS Bookmaster, focused on providing industry solutions to the $120bn global publishing and wholesale book distribution industry, is actively responding to ground-shaking changes as our customers morph from primarily print-centered to increasingly digital-focused businesses. The result of this change is not only the demand for digital content, but also the demand for digital delivery systems, with orders placed via self-help, web-based B2B and B2C processes.
IBS Bookmaster has been engaged in an aggressive development program that will enhance our existing capabilities through the provision of web enablement products to integrate the critical functions of web-order-to-cash and digital and print delivery within the framework of the Bookmaster system.
The first set of web enablement products is already in operation at several large customer sites. These products allow our customers’ customers to transact directly into the Bookmaster system from existing web sites.
As a second phase, digital delivery and subscription-ordering web enablement modules will be released by the end of April 2011, so that print and digital line items may be embedded within the same order. This will also allow Bookmaster to control all orders through integrated order-to cash processes, in addition to integrated channel sales history tracking and financial subsystems.
As the digitization of the reading experience progresses in each of the verticals we serve (trade, academic, religious and niche publishing and distribution), our customers need systems that will track profitability through all distribution channels at both the sub-ISBN and super-ISBN levels. This is supported by the release of the Bookmaster Rights and Permissions module and ONIX 3.0 support in Q3 and Q4 2011.
With these enhancements, the Bookmaster solution maintains its leading position as the primary global provider of integrated supply chain management systems to this rapidly changing industry.”
